Mason Community Thrift Store Grant

Mason Community Thrift Store Grant

The back room of the first floor was converted to a kitchen in the mid 1970’s by Garner and Clara Seaquist. Since the goal of the foundation is to restore the house to its former glory, we removed the sink, dishwasher and cabinets. This left us with no sink or storage space.

The Seaquist House received a $3000 grant from the Mason Community Thrift Store to purchase a temporary kitchen utility cabinet with a sink, as well as a small hot water heater. We were also able to hire a plumber and electrician to hook up the water and the hot water heater so that we now have running water in the house.
